- The Association grieved that the Administrator at CTS Elementary spoke in a derogatory manner when referencing the President of the EOEA and a Union Rep to members of the Association at her school. A Level III Hearing was held regarding Anti-Union animus behavior. The Hearing was continued for further testimony from the EOEA. We are requesting review for Arbitration.
- Several people are grieving their loss of increments; three hearings were held and moved to level III. A hearing was held regarding withholding of an increment at Level III. Human Resources is reviewing the records to see why the member was not offered the choice of taking the family leave act with respect to a family member’s illness for which they were the only caretaker. Two other Sunshine Hearings were held at Level II and were moved to Level III.
- The Association grieved that the changing of the Sunshine Hearing process was a violation of a past practice in the district; no notification was given about the change. We are requesting review for Arbitration.
- A Grievance was filed on behalf of teachers who attended a summer 2011 workshop and have not been paid. (Healy) Level III
- Several people are grieving to have memoranda removed from their files at various buildings.
- A Grievance was filed on behalf of teachers where an administrator violated the contractual language on the length of staff meetings. The Association will insist that staff be compensated at the hourly rate for the extra time. (Healy) Level II
7. A Hearing was held regarding extra compensation due to teachers who lost Preps or covered classes during testing. More information is being requested. (Truth) To be continued at Level III.
